A brief Time-line of Libertat:
Current Year: 1264
1113 (151 years ago) – Lord Randahl Peh’lson of Ahurauh unites the cities of Gullcrest and Allview with Ahurauh, under one banner, to defend against the Northmen raids and other threats. He subsequently becomes King of Libertat at the age of 19.
1140 (124 years ago) – King Randahl Pehl’son dies of natural causes at the age of 46. His son Lothoewynn Pehl’son takes the his place on the throne at age 25.
1144 (120 years ago) – King Lothoewynn is assassinated at a public address in Gullcrest. Prescott Ebenchild Steps up to the ranks of the throne. Adair Raventoe is put to death for the the assassination of King Lothoewynn.
1148 (116 years ago) – King Prescott relocates funds to create the King’s Guard, ensuring an end to the Northmen raids.
1190 (74 years ago) – King Prescott Ebenchild dies a natural death, at the age of 66. His son, George Ebenchild succeeds his father on the throne.
1199 (65 years ago) – King George I puts into law the slavery ban, after public support leads to rioting. He manages to pass an increase in taxes and financial backing of the King’s Guard’s activities abroad, at the same time.
1201 (63 years ago) – Latterdale officially joins the Kingdom, and the Bridge of Great Manage is given the funds to be completed in record time.
1208 (56 years ago) – The King falls ill to the Red Pox. Despite the greatest efforts of the Kingdom’s cleric’s, George Ebenchild dies a fortnight later. King George Ebenchild II succeeds his father and takes his place on the throne at the age of 16.
1210 (54 years ago) – The great red dragon, Larelameth, attacked the towers of Allview. King George instituted the “common protection act”. It was later revealed by the king’s council that it was an organized attack from the gnolls that dwell amongst the Chitin Desert.
1212 (52 years ago) – Fennshaw officially joins the kingdom. Riots sweep the city. Representatives of Allview later address the public’s concerns.
1218 (46 years ago) – The king’s council rallies public support to increase the amount of the kingdoms wealth to the war effort, after they reveal that the barbarian tribes of the northern tundra have organized themselves and fight with the Gnolls.
1236 (28 years ago) – After the horrific defeat of the King’s Guard in the Chillmist Swamp, countless men begin to abandon their posts and terms of service.
1246 (18 years ago) – The Draft is instituted to replenish the size of the King’s Guard. All children 14 years or older can be called in to fight in the war, or face public execution. The kingdom is poorer than ever.
1248 (16 years ago) – King George Ebenchild II is driven from the throne at the hands of rioting citizens. It is presumed that he was killed while attempting to flee, though no body was found, nor has anyone ever claimed to have ended his life. The kingdom’s order falls into disarray.
1249 (15 years ago) – Lord Ingvar Borreas becomes King of Libertat, at the age of 28, after a year of organizing and rebuilding the city and it’s services. He renews the public faith in the King’s Guard and renames it the Silver Guard, to much public favor.
1256 (8 years ago) – An elite band of the Silver Guard report back that they have finally slain the dragon Larelameth, after a long quest of searching the caves of the region.
1264- Construction begins on a grand road linking Ahurauh to Allview. The Moore of Vestoog is navigated by a private party, on the kingdom’s coin, to break up much of the organized resistance in the area. The construction efforts are confident to continue through the previously impassable land.
