A brief history of humans of Edeacia and Libertat
Before the time of the Unified Age (our current recording of time), humans were considered a petty and troglodytic sort. But because mankind advanced quickly, despite being short lived, they distinguished themselves from the monstrous races and it was accepted that man was clearly a part of the lifeforms that make up the civilized races.
Human advancement rose quickly and largely abandoned the tribal wars and bloody feuds of their recent past. Some outlying groups clung to the old ways and became secluded and barbaric, but mankind’s cities and technologies and magics advanced under the Gods’ watchful eyes.
The first thousand years was a great time for man, and all civilized races, elves and dwarves even, began to mingle and live among their cities. But the monstrous races and the barbaric humans grew jealous and struck back in great numbers. Man, being fairly new and inexperienced to the world, were unable to defend themselves from the horrific assaults. Many civilizations were lost entirely, while others were only badly wounded. Many from the other civilized races lost their trust in mankind and retreated from their cities and states.
Libertat is a kingdom born for and from defense, to avoid such savagery as war. Though somewhere along the path, many races believe, it lost it’s way.
